Monday, May 27

Arrival in Israel

  • Arrival into Tel Aviv—You will be met and assisted through customs, introduced to your driver and guide, and transferred to your hotel on the Mediterranean.

Tuesday, May 28

Caesarea by the Sea

Sites You Will Visit
  • Caesarea—the Roman city where Paul first took the message of the gospel to the Gentiles
  • Caesarea Aqueduct—the ruins of a Roman aqueduct built to supply the ancient city of Caesarea with fresh water
  • Mount Carmel—the mountain on which Elijah confronted the prophets of Baal
  • Megiddo—a strategic city overlooking the gathering place for the armies of Armageddon
  • Mount Arbel—a vista of the Galilee and sites of Jesus’ public ministry

An overlook view of the Jezreel valley and Mt. Tabor where Deborah and Barak fought the Canaanites.

Wednesday, May 29

Around the Sea of Galilee

Sites You Will Visit
  • Sea of Galilee—a freshwater lake in northern Israel where Jesus spent three years ministering and performing miracles
  • Ancient Galilee Boat—a fishing boat dating back to the first century, excavated on the shore of the Sea of Galilee
  • Tabgha—where Peter was restored along the shore of the Sea of Galilee
  • Capernaum—the town and synagogue where Jesus preached during His Galilean ministry
  • Magdala—the hometown of Mary Magdalene where one of the world’s oldest synagogues has been excavated
  • Jordan River—the eastern border of Israel and the waters in which John baptized Jesus

Sailing the Sea of Galilee; then, a unique opportunity to be baptized or re-dedicated in the Jordan River.

Thursday, May 30

Northern Israel

Sites You Will Visit
  • Mount of Beatitudes—the traditional place where Christ delivered His message on the Beatitudes
  • Ancient Dan—the northernmost city of Israel and the location of Jeroboam’s golden calf
  • Caesarea Philippi—where Peter professed, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
  • Golan Heights—a view of Paul's route to Damascus and modern-day battlegrounds

A drive by the ancient site of Hazor and a view of Mount Hermon, Israel's tallest mountain.

Friday, May 31

Down to the Dead Sea

Sites You Will Visit
  • Spring of Harod—the traditional location where Gideon chose his 300 men for battle
  • Beth She’an—the ruins of a Roman city and the site where the Philistines displayed the bodies of King Saul and his sons
  • Jericho—the first Canaanite city the Israelites conquered in the Promised Land

A scenic drive through the Jordan River Valley between the Sea of Galilee and the Dead Sea. A drive by the Qumran desert caves where the Dead Sea Srolls were discovered.

Saturday, June 1

The Judean Wilderness

Sites You Will Visit
  • Oasis of Ein Gedi—the waterfall and desert caves where David encountered King Saul
  • Masada—the impenetrable fortress where Jewish zealots made a final stand against Rome
  • Dead Sea—a large salt lake in the wilderness and the lowest point on the face of the earth

A free afternoon to relax and enjoy the amenities of your resort hotel where you can experience the most floatable body of water in the world.

Sunday, June 2

Up to Jerusalem

Sites You Will Visit
  • Wadi Qilt—the wilderness where Jesus was tempted by Satan
  • Mount of Olives—a hill overlooking Jerusalem from the east where Jesus wept over Jerusalem
  • Dominus Flevit on Palm Sunday Road—a church on the route Jesus entered Jerusalem on Palm Sunday
  • Garden of Gethsemane—the traditional location where Jesus prayed and was betrayed
  • Model of Jerusalem—a model of Herodian Jerusalem as it looked at the time of Christ
  • Yad Vashem—Israel's memorial to the six million Jews killed in the Holocaust

Monday, June 3

Israel: Yesterday and Today

Sites You Will Visit
  • Western Wall—a section of the Temple Mount foundation dating  back to the Second Temple Period and the most sacred Jewish site in Jerusalem
  • Southern Temple Steps—part of extensive excavations that have unearthed steps from the time of Jesus leading up to the Temple Mount
  • Bethlehem Overlook—the serene hillside of Bethlehem where shepherds tend their flock
  • Hezekiah's City Wall—built by King Hezekiah to prepare for the Assyrian invasion
  • Roman Cardo—the ancient Roman main street through the Old City
  • Jewish Quarter in the Old City

Sites You Will Visit
  • Elah Valley—the famous battlefield of David and Goliath
  • City of David Excavations—the original site of King David’s capital of Israel, including the Gihon Spring Pool of Siloam and Hezekiah’s Tunnel

A view of the Sorek Valley and a drive by of Beth Shemesh where the Philistines returned the Ark of the Covenant to the Israelites. A trek through the historic and amazing tunnel dug by Hezekiah to survive the Assyrian siege of Jerusalem.

Wednesday, June 5

The Passion of the Christ

Sites You Will Visit
  • Temple Mount—where the second Jewish Temple once stood, now home of the Dome of the Rock and Al-Aqsa Mosque
  • Pool of Bethesda and St. Anne's Church—the pool where Jesus healed an infirmed man
  • Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher—the “way of the cross” leading to the traditional site of Jesus' crucifixion
  • The Old City—free time to bargain with shopkeepers, return to a site that held special meaning, or sip Turkish coffee at a sidewalk café
  • Gordon's Calvary & the Garden Tomb—an ancient tomb similar to the one in which Christ was buried
