Educational Partnership Announced with Converge Great Lakes

A strategic educational partnership between The Moody Bible Institute of Chicago and Converge Great Lakes was announced today.

Through the agreement, Moody’s continuing education, undergraduate school and seminary programs are available to Converge’s more than 100 churches and their congregational leaders and church members at a reduced cost.

“The centrality of the local church is one of our longstanding core values, so we are humbled by the opportunity to join forces with Converge Great Lakes in equipping and empowering their local church leaders,” reflected Dr. Tim Sisk, Moody’s provost and senior vice president. “Converge is doing incredible ministry right now and we are excited to offer them Moody’s boldly biblical, practical, and relevant training that is tailored to the needs of their local churches and leadership. Partnerships such as these are significant to the growth and impact we are experiencing right now as we enter our 140th academic year and seek to double our impact by 2030.”

Through this partnership, the leadership, staff and missionaries of Converge Great Lakes will receive tuition awards for a wide range of Moody educational programs, including the following:

Made up of more than 100 regional churches and 1,750 member churches worldwide, Converge Great Lakes is a “movement of churches working to help people meet, know and follow Jesus.” At the core of the 170-year-old ministry, Converge Great Lakes helps launch churches locally, regionally, and globally, as well as offer resources to help strengthen local churches around the globe.

Converge Great Lakes has helped churches bring life change to communities in the U.S. and around the world through church planting and multiplication, leadership training and global missions. In fact, with their goal to “give every person the opportunity to hear the gospel, say ‘yes’ to Jesus, grow in faith, be equipped to serve and be sent out,”  Converge as a national movement has planted almost 250 new congregations in the past four years, as well as trained thousands of church and ministry leaders.
