Moody Founder’s Week Feb. 3–7, 2014

Moody Bible Institute's annual Founder's Week conference is 113-years strong this year and will be held Feb. 3-7, 2014. It will feature speakers including Crawford Loritts, Jim Cymbala, Juli Slattery and Gary Chapman, along with students and faculty of Moody.

"This year we will focus on the theme, 'Be Holy,' which is taken from the Apostle Peter's words in 1 Peter 1:15," said Dr. Paul Nyquist, president of Moody. "It is our prayer that you will be deeply encouraged and inspired to live a life that is holy because God is holy. Whether you participate in person, by radio broadcast or the live online stream, we look forward to you joining us for this meaningful week." Dr. Nyquist will kick-off Founder's Week on Monday, Feb. 3, at 7:15 p.m., at The Moody Church in Chicago, Ill.

Featuring worship, music, uplifting fellowship and teaching from today's foremost Christian leaders, Founder's Week celebrates the Feb. 5th birthday of 19th century evangelist and Moody Bible Institute founder, Dwight Lyman Moody.

Evening sessions (7:15 p.m.) will take place at The Moody Church, while the morning (9:30 a.m.) and afternoon (2:15 p.m.) sessions will take place on Moody's Chicago campus in Torrey-Gray Auditorium. Special musical guests Aaron Shust, the Butlers, the Chicago Tabernacle Choir and Tim Stafford as well as various musical ensembles from Moody will perform and lead worship throughout the conference.

At 1:15 p.m., on Thursday, Feb. 6, and Friday, Feb. 7, there will also be special presentations in Torrey-Gray Auditorium by Moody Publishers' authors Jamie Janosz, Dr. Michael Rydelnik and Dr. Michael Vanlaningham. On Thursday, Janosz will be discussing her first book with Moody Publishers, When Others Shuddered: Eight Women Who Refused to Give Up. On Friday, Moody professors Drs. Rydelnik and Vanlaningham will be discussing The Moody Bible Commentary.
