Newest Trustee Announced

03 June, 2019
Mr. Bob Schuldt

Moody Bible Institute announced today that during the most recent meeting of the full Board of Trustees Mr. Bob Schuldt was elected to serve as the newest trustee.

“We are excited to have Bob join the Board of Trustees,” said Randy Fairfax, who serves as the chair. “He and his wife, Jennifer, are a strong couple of prayer and want to see our Lord honored. His commitment to the Word of God and passion for Moody’s mission, along with his strategic thinking and networking will be incredibly valuable as a trustee.” Previous to coming on as a trustee, he was the chair of the advisory board for Moody Theological Seminary, from 2014 to 2018. Mr. Schuldt has also been the chair since 2003 of the Moody Business Network, a ministry of The Moody Church. This network of believers from across various professions gather for a series of lunches throughout the year in downtown Chicago with the focus on integrating God’s truth into their professional work.

“It is an honor to be able to serve Moody Bible Institute as a trustee,” said Mr. Schuldt, who is a Senior Vice President and Wealth Management Advisor for Merrill Lynchin Lisle, Ill., where he has served for almost 25 years. “For many years I have admired Moody’s adherence to sound doctrine, care of students, and prudent stewardship of the organization’s resources. In my opinion, few schools are as prepared as MBI to equip the next generation of ministry leaders who will engage this culture, and few ministries produce original evangelical content as Moody Radio and Moody Publishers.” He added, “I am excited to be a part of MBI’s future and look forward to using my financial background and experience with market place ministry to help make Dr. Mark Jobe’s vision to expand MBI become a reality.”

Mr. Schuldt has also provided leadership as co-chair since 2017 to the Chicago Prayer Breakfast, an annual event for Christian professionals throughout Chicagoland on the National Day of Prayer each May. In addition to having completed the Certificate Program in Financial Planning at DePaul University, Mr.Schuldt is a graduate of Rockford University with a B.S. in Finance and an emphasis in Economics. He and his wife, Jennifer, reside in a western suburb of Chicago, and have two children.
