On Wednesday, Feb. 9, the board of trustees announced the unanimously approved appointment of Christine Gorz, current director of marketing and communications, to the position of vice president of corporate communications at Moody Bible Institute. Gorz brings 20 years of experience to the position, including the last five leading Moody's Marketing and Communications department.
“We are excited to have Christine move into this new role on the senior leadership team,” said Ed Cannon, Moody’s chief operating officer. “She not only has a deep understanding of Moody’s mission, history and culture, but with 20 years of solid marketing experience, she is well-equipped to lead this branch.”
As a member of the senior leadership team, Gorz has been tasked with broadening Moody’s branding and communication initiatives, including engaging the organization’s audiences in new and innovative ways.
“I am honored to be appointed to this new position and look forward to working with our talented Corporate Communications team to continue building relationships with Moody’s audiences,” she said. “We’re in an age when innovative communication is essential to the growth, impact and service of any ministry organization, and I believe Moody is uniquely positioned to help people better know, love and serve God.”
Gorz holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Management from Missouri State University and a Master of Arts degree in Biblical Studies from Moody Theological Seminary.
