March 18 Moody Student COVID-19 Update
Dear Moody Students,
Thank you for your request to stay on campus for the remainder of the Spring semester. Events continue to develop rapidly as it pertains to travel conditions and governmental restrictions in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In light of the uncertainties and so that you are not further inconvenienced, Moody is highly recommending that you reconsider your intentions about returning to campus. Unless it is absolutely necessary, we ask that you find other housing alternatives. If you are currently away from campus, we encourage you to postpone removing your belongings. Please let us know by completing this form: https://forms.gle/jBdB9SMuuMhfQ7SBA.
Moody is committed to providing limited housing and meal services to students who absolutely require it. We are not fully closing our residence halls or meal services for the remainder of the Spring semester, however a recent decision has been made to close a number of on-site buildings.
Beginning today, the following buildings will be closed: Solheim, Doane, Sweeting, Fitzwater, Alumni Student Center (except Food Service), and the Chapman Center. Please be aware that part-time supervisors are reconsidering the number of employees they will need in light of these changes.
If the reason for your request was on campus employment, you must reconnect with your supervisor to confirm approval for on-campus employment. If you are not approved to work on campus, but still need to stay on campus due to other extenuating circumstances, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you will no longer require on-campus housing for the remainder of the semester, please email email@example.com so we can update our records accordingly.
Confirmations about your approval to stay on campus will be sent by email from Residence Life by Friday, March 20. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this very challenging time. We are continuing to pray for you.
