Statement from Trustees Chair
Randy Fairfax expresses appreciation to staff, faculty, and students at start of Moody's 133rd academic year
Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff:
This week marks the start of our 133rd academic year at Moody Bible Institute. Our history and legacy speaks to the immeasurable grace of our God, and He continues to bless us with the privilege of equipping the next generation of Christian leaders.
For the last 132 years, Moody has been rooted in the only solid foundation—the holy, inerrant, and infallible Word of God. The Word of God has been our anchor, and the gospel of Jesus Christ our message. This has not changed. This will not change.
Whether you are an undergraduate school student with Moody Bible Institute or pursuing higher education in Moody Theological Seminary, I am humbled by your trust in Moody to equip you in the Word of God. I, along with all the Trustees, are praying that the Lord richly blesses your time at Moody this academic year and that you find your strength in Him.
As we enter the Fall semester, I am appreciative to the staff who have spent this past summer preparing for this week and the year ahead. Thank you for all you do.
I also want to address a group of individuals most responsible for students being richly equipped in the Scriptures—our faculty. Our stellar faculty is the frontline of this ministry. No one could ever faithfully capture the full impact they have in the lives of the students, and the Trustees thank God for you and your faithful commitment to teaching His truth.
May our guiding verse, 2 Timothy 2:15, not simply be words etched into the architecture of our great campus, but humble hearts that truly seek to study the Word so that we can be used of God to expand His Kingdom through the glorious gospel of His Son and our Savior, Jesus Christ.
May God bless you, and may God bless the school that D.L. Moody founded.
Chair, Board of Trustees
