"Summit Life with J.D. Greear"

30-minute Bible teaching program to debut as a national program on Moody Radio network and affiliate stations

Moody Radio announced today that Summit Life with J.D. Greear will debut on Monday, April 3, as a national program on their owned and operated stations, and select affiliates across the country.

After being heard in central North Carolina for the last few years, the 30-minute weekday Bible teaching program of J.D. Greear based in Raleigh-Durham will now be a national program. Moody Radio is the first network to carry the program nationally.

“Being the first network to carry Summit Life with J.D. Greear as a national program is an honor,” said Dan Craig, manager of programming for Moody Radio. “J.D. is a passionate, articulate and biblically-solid voice for the next generation. This program will play a key role in our mission to help listeners take the next step in their journey with Jesus.”

Messages heard on the program will be taken from Greear’s sermons at his home church in Raleigh-Durham, The Summit Church, where he serves as pastor. Under his leadership, the church has grown from 300 to more than 10,000 members and is actively involved in sending out people to plant other churches domestically and internationally.

“I’m honored to be invited to launch Summit Life on Moody Radio,” said Greear. “Through Summit Life, I look forward to calling people to a joyous, reckless, generous and audacious life of faith by learning more about God’s extravagant love found in Christ. The gospel well is deep, and we’ll never get to the bottom.”

Greear is a sought-after conference speaker worldwide and bestselling author of books such as Gospel: Recovering the Power that Made Christianity Revolutionary. He has spoken at Moody Bible Institute’s annual Pastor’s Conference in May.

He and his wife, Veronica, live in Raleigh and are raising three daughters and a son.

The first teaching series for Summit Life with J.D. Greear will run throughout the month of April and be titled “Broken Saviors: Judges.” Greear will look at Judges, a book with some of the most scandalous and perplexing stories in Scripture. Through this scandalous history, listeners will see what God can do with the most broken of heroes—and behind every hero, God remains faithful even when we are faithless.

Summit Life with J.D. Greear will be heard weekdays on Moody Radio owned and operated stations and their online streams, select affiliates, the Moody Radio network stream and through the iPhone and Android apps.
