“Solomon and Dawn Mornings”

New co-host Steven Solomon joins Dawn Rae on Moody Radio Nashville morning show

Listeners to Moody Radio in Nashville are waking up to Solomon and Dawn.

The show, previously Dawn in Nashville, has a new co-host, Steven Solomon.

Solomon and Dawn Mornings airs weekdays, from 6 to 9 a.m., CT and can be heard on 91.7 FM, 98.7 FM and 1200 AM, as well as through the Moody Radio mobile app. Online streaming is also available at

“It has been our hope for a long time to launch a two-person morning program on WFCM,” said Scott Thunder, station manager. “The combination is a winning one; two professionals with different perspectives and different backgrounds, but a shared focus on helping listeners take their next step with Christ. I am excited to see how the Lord uses Solomon and Dawn.”

Solomon grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee, and has lived and travelled internationally. After high school, he served with the U.S. Army in Iraq and Afghanistan, giving him the opportunity to build relationships and have a ministry to those of different cultures and religions.

After serving overseas with the Army, Solomon earned a degree in public administration from the University of Tennessee and a master's degree in Theology from Liberty University. He served in church ministry and launched a podcast focused on the themes he preached on as a pastor, which was eventually picked up by a station in Minneapolis. Although he had never considered working in talk radio Solomon says, “I was always fascinated with radio.”

He and his wife, Elaine, have been married for 10 years are parents of two girls and are expecting their third child in October. Along with radio, Solomon also enjoys playing bass guitar and writing, and consults with churches and church leaders in areas such as improved services and outreach ministries.

“Both Dawn and I came from hosting a show alone to working with a co-host,” said Solomon, “and while there has been a learning curve for both of us, Dawn has a great personality and we work extremely well together.”

“Steven brings a helpful second voice to the morning show at WFCM,” added Rae who previous to hosting the morning show worked for six years covering morning drive at Moody Radio Nashville. Changing direction a little more than three years ago, she took a position within the Christian school her children attend but stayed involved with Moody Radio in Nashville, filling in for morning drive periodically and SHARE.

She grew up in Berea, Kentucky, and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky in telecommunications. Dawn and her husband, Ben, have been married for 26 years and have three children, one of which recently graduated from Moody Bible Institute.
